Bradl33 FINALLY, I just picked up my FOCUS!!! Color match is almost if not perfect. (its a sunny day but cold so no pics) But they didnt charge me for the 10k tune up :). Soo happy to be in my SE Sport, handles SOOO differnt. I was getting use to the controls in the SEL but i enjoy my simplisity! Now i cant wait for summer to get the new rims on it.

....I suppose this can be the end of this thread :)....

I would like to but this is 1 of 2 dealers close enough to me and the other one would charge me to fix everything. (YES THEY ARE THAT BAD..They tried charging my orginal dealler 3k more that what it cost ford to at somethine OEM to the car.. thats neither here no there) and i have worked in shops before and accidents do happen. If the car was undriveable or total (i guess prob anything more that what it is) I want someones head lol.
But yes it i am concerned with the color match big time, I am not paying a cent for anything and hopefully they will take something off my 10k maintainace. I figured they have the car for another week there should be an open time.

Somebody got fired for spilling oil all over my engine, getting a grease glob on my car, and improperly installing a fog bulb when I went in for my second oil change. The manager was beyond pissed.

BaconZombie Wow, that's ridiculous. I've worked for dealerships and other shops for the last 10+ years, and while it does happen, there's never an excuse for it. All techs and everyone need to do is slow down and take their time. But I know how service managers tend to get on them and act like everything is of dire importance and needs to be rushed. I just hope they get everything squared away for you. Good luck!

Bradl33 Here are the pics of the damange. No pic underneath i looked but with the snow it was hard to get a good angle with my phone. I saw no damage under the car and compared it with my loaner focus. so thats good

cobie56 I haven't had a car 'flood' since the early '80s when i had a GM product w/ a 2bbl carb... lol

snow12 Dealers can be so silly the only thing thats really happened to me that falls into the category of negligence is a tech forgetting to put the oil cap back on...doesn't sound bad but it was a mess to say the least

Edit : Oops forgot to specify that this was a while back before I got the Focus; it was a Dodge :)

No, I haven't had that happen. But the lube tech at the dealership where I bought the car put some nice gouges in my rims with his careless impact wrench handling.

And while I certainly wouldn't want my car to get banged up at a dealership, but at least it would be obvious and undeniable damage, and I wouldn't have to listen to Ford reps tell me "that's normal" and "the dealership didn't mess up your car".

To the OP, Brad, I feel your pain. It sucks to leave your car at the dealership and have it be diminished in any fashion when you pick it up.

snow12 I don't think I have ever had a modern vehicle flood. I definitely wouldn't expect one that has such advanced electronics to

And definitely check the damage for yourself. there could have been underlying structure damage that they dealer could hide by just replacing the bumper and light.
