spinadog Is there any reason why you could not use the LINE IN from the head unit to the Sony? Surely it would be better to avoid the LOC, right? I want to replace all but the head unit. Any suggestions or hints would be great. And I agree, in my '13 ST the 10 speaker Sony is just awful. Almost as 'good' as a BOSE system!

I havnt change my speakers out yet, but i know from different cars thats what will happen. But you must use your own amp if you want to get the full sound from them.3

You would have to do more than just buy new speakers, the actual factory unit is causing the speakers to not perform 100% because its a safety feature. They dont want you blowing up the speakers or hurting your ears.

EggYolkBill I have no real complaints with my '13 either. It could probably be a little louder but the sound is pretty clean for a stock system. Maybe I am just getting too old!

I have no idea, but its seriously dreadful to turn up the music.
