Gi_Jo_Nathan Thanks. There's some pretty funny statements in here.
Fun reading.

If/When the RS comes stateside, if one can be found for sale new for under $40k then you have to pay me $100. If none can be found for sale under $40k. (The gouging you speak of.) I will pay you $100. Deal?

Hehe, back when I was being a Debbie Downer a couple of years ago about the RS's price but I still feel good about my prediction as it may come to fruition that it will be a limited production model.

There were even a few guesses at a $29k base price.

The additional costs in R&D do not warrant the performance you can get from a platform that gets damn close performance from AWD. This is why AWD has not been used in the RS line since the Escort/Sierra. The RS has never been a profitable car and will continue to not be a profitable seller. Take some time and learn about the automotive industry, it will make more sense for you.

If you look the AWD platforms are slowly going away across the board.

Just funny looking up old posts and there were more than a few claiming AWD would never be implemented in the RS.

VenomousSVT im curious where the price point is going to sit.. I imagine its going to me a $35k car easily. I cant wait to get a 15 ST... I was really on the fence on getting a GT and my fiance was actually pushing me to do so. But for me I just cant justify the $38k for the GT I want. Not when I can spend less than $30k on an ST and thoroughly enjoy it as well. As much as I wish I had an AWD option, it just wouldnt be justifiable (to me) unless its under $35k.

On a side note.... Im super excited to see what ford has in store. Theres a reason ive been building high performance fords for 15+ years, and I cant wait for more factory fun stuff to come out.

Mr Orange SVT Now this is a little better! I'd buy this! I still think the wheels are too large but hey that's what the aftermarket is for.

Gee, I wonder what it would cost to have the rear doors gutted and welded shut? Add a one piece glass and wha-la, 2 door RS. It would also need the front seat frames modified or switched to fold forward. I know the proper way would be to then have the B-piller moved and the front doors extended but then we are talking about a seriously large sum of money.

Mr Orange SVT HOLY CRAP! Where did the tires go? That profile may look good on a show car but it's not very practical in the real world. So in this "photo" I have 2 issues and everybody knows what is the other one is for me. Very nice color though.
