Road and track is so completely and utterly full of it. People who know aren't talking, and those who talk don't really know.

The source of the video that Road and Track claim show an AWD RS is from Europe and has claimed the car is FWD only.

Even if it was AWD it would not replace the ST. The MK1 and MK2 RS were sold alongside the concurrent ST170 and ST225.

Given the fact that it would be built only in Germany the car will be much more expensive than the ST even if it was only FWD.

No RS focus has ever been built outside of Saarrlouis.

Focus112 Trust me Ive read everything, like I said the UK magazines are the ones reporting FWD. I realize all American magazines are reporting awd. And price will come in around 35k I would think, considering the ST gets into the 30s barely.

finalley ....yea,... finally my car in all wheel drive. I have the 2013 ST too. (And a Quaife LSD under the kitchen table waiting)... If I can't have a Fusion in 3.5 Turbo AWD to bring back the Detroit Muscle title I'll settle for a Focus 2.3, 330hp from the factory as a base platform. For transmission, 6 speed manual standard, and 6speed paddle shift optional...

G.O.Joe I'm sure they're going to introduce it in limited numbers to see how fast it sells outside of typical salon purchases (companies using it as a billboard, or celebrities buying it for exclusivity, as Ken Block is likely to do). If regular-schmoe sales are a good percentage of its limited run, then they'll probably release a 2016.5 in higher quantities.

So some well-to-do no-name enthusiasts are going to need to bite the bullet and pick these up at their premium prices to make them available to the rest of us a few months down the road. :D

Focus112 Why doesn't someone just run up to the mule and take a picture underneath to see if there is awd
