Frequency. The data is already adjusted based on the number of cars out there.

2013 models out sell 2012 models if you compare the same month by over 40 percent.

Jim_J Where is a production change list for the 6dct250? You can't just assume any hardware changes based on hearsay and rumors.

It's certainly in Ford's best interest to foster the belief that there have been fixes, but the evidence that they are not the same just isn't there.

I'm assumed he was asking if all 2012s with the 12B37 update are the same cars as 2013 model years. And in short: No, they're not.

Obviously a 2012 with all of the mechanical and software changes from a 2013 should be the same car as a 2013...

Late build 2012s vs. 2013? Not positive on those differences. Also, just because there's a TSB doesn't mean a 2012 will get an improved component when they come in with a complaint.

Yes, the 2013 has the same basic hardware with the updates TCU software that they flash into the 2012's.

There is some mention (nothing official) that clutch plates got longer rivets, although it is unknown if clutch rivet failure was an issue, how this improved the tranny, and when and if this was cut in to production.

Some seals leaked in 2012, but we don't know why or if there was any change in design, or bad seals, or any root cause analysis.

So until Ford publishes an official production change document, everything else is hearsay.

This post is in no way meant to offend, if your Focus has a REAL issue then by all means go after the Dealership/Ford to get it resolved. Contact the Ford Rep. in this forum to help you, she has always been available for real issues and has posted repeatedly on how you may do that...
Thanks for the shout-out, PandT!
