rambleon84 Are you happy with the adjustability of the koni/fc setup? the rates good for you still? Are they low enough for your driving style?

If yes, then rebuild the koni's...do you have access to another car for the down time? Buying a cheap suspension seems like a hassle to spend money and swap that on/off while waiting on the koni's and then have to sell off the other suspension once you get the koni's back.

If for any reason you want to go with a different coilover setup or arent happy with the koni/fc, now would be a great time to do that. Sell of the koni/fc setup and let someone else pay for the rebuild.

Need opnions on what I should do with this (kinda long):

The SVT is still going strong despite some rattles and noises here and there. Only about 133k Kms on her.

I currently have Koni Yellows front and rear, with Focus Central coilover sleeves: 400lbs springs in front and 220lbs springs in rear mounted on the strut.

I like the setup overall although I'm thinking that after a few years, the struts are under damped and one of the fronts is leaking up at the knob.

Option 1: Have the Koni's rebuilt and revalved at $250-275 per corner. After that, I'm sure the suspenson would be awesome and I'd still have Koni Yellow adjustability. But I'd have to find a cheap suspension replacement in the meantime. I'd probably try to find a cheap SVT kit somewhere. I'd have to find the parts needed to convert the rear end back to coil-on-control arm.

Option 2: Dump my Koni/Focus Central setup (and sell as-is) and just get a new coilover system for about 1000 bucks. Suspension Techniques looks good. But I'd have to find the bits to convert the rear end back to spring-on-control arm in this option too...but those parts are cheap. No adjustability so whatever the factory sets them at is what I'll have to live with.

Option 3: There's a Hotbits coilover setup for sale nearby for roughly 1400 (maybe less). But I'd have to buy softer coilover springs since the ones offered are super stiff and too aggressive for the everyday road. So that's an added expense. On top of that, they use 60mm metric inner diameter springs. Otherwise rebuilds for Hotbits are dirt cheap in comparison to Koni and I think I can get them serviced in Canada.

Any thoughts?

It's not like the suspension is falling apart right now. Maybe next week I'll get under there and clean things up and see how I feel then.
