sleepyboy I have no idea where to cut it. Have you taken it out and looked at it? You may even be able to find a STS for it on ebay maybe? If it's like the 00-early 02's then you can probably just cut a inch or two off the top and rethread it, instant sts.

calebstubstad and yeah, i'm trying to work with what I have, and it's slowly coming up on summer, so I wanna get my list of mods now, so when it's not 35 below zero I have a plan of attack on what I want to do

calebstubstad I mean the one where you have to like unscrew something and it slides down further.. where can I cut it and still be able to not have to rethread the shaft for a knob? lol

sleepyboy What you mean cutting it shorter type of mod? If so then yeah it can be done.

I also must say it's nice to see someone actually posting something in the SPI section again lol

anybody know if it is possible to do a 'diy' sts on the spi/IB5 transmission? I seen a how to for the 2007 duratec, and am wondering if something like that can be done for the spi? if there's a thread already existing that i'm just missing, feel free to point me in the right direction too
