|indy_11||hope you have a manual, they're def the way to go. don't have a tune, should have bought it first because I've read it does wonders. I feel like my intake kinda slowed my car down when starting off but it picks up better afterwards. an exhaust is another excuse to put your foot on the throttle a little more which I'm not complaining about. if you're looking for more power you need to do some extensive stuff. don't race on the streets, you won't win in court. happy modding.|

But for sure do as stated here and get some lighter wheels. the stock ses 17" eaps weigh in at 21.2lbs. I once read a figure in a paper that stated every 1 pound of weight under the suspension is equivalent to removing 10lbs above the suspension or in your car. So all of the people who strip their interiors but then have heavy chrome or 18" wheels on their hondas are idiots lol. Once again as stated please only race on the track and not on the streets. I noticed a hugggeeee difference when I went to my 16" rota slipstreams which weigh 13lbs each even from my 15"oem se wheels!

Do you have an auto or a manual? I imagine the auto really takes away from the speed.
Since you have an SES, do you have the 17'' wheels? It's my understanding that the 17's are heavier and the tire is taller. The SES already has shorter gearing, try to throw on a lighter and shorter set of OEM 15s ... that should get you a bit.
Try to keep it on the track or the strip; street racing doesn't end well.

While the tune alone will make you a little faster that is not the main thing it does contrary to what everyone thinks. It makes your car run more EFFICIENT for whatever specific parameters you want it to. For example, 93 octane, header, intake, exhaust, etc. Do yourself a favor and save up enough money for the header, an FSwerks intake, and the SCT tuner. or buy them as people post them to the Buy sell trade forum.
I'm not going to go into detail about the k&n intakes and filters.... But sell it and buy either a steeda or FSWerks cool flo.
I hope this helps.
O AND LIGHT WHEELS DO WONDERS!!!!

|Baldurs390||you can add a header with out a tune... will see some improvements but a tune is where you will see real gains after everything is installed|

|Durany44||I already have a air intake and catback. So the header would only help if I had the car tuned?|

|gtferrari||A shorty header will give a bumb in torque but youll need a tune to take advantage of it. Might as well add an intake then tune it for premium fuel. all said maybe 20hp/lbft for a grand....|

|Durany44||I am primarily concerned with a straight highway take off , like dragging Chevy cobalts and Honda civics haha. Would a header be a better option? And thank you very much for responding to my inquirys|

|gtferrari||Will allow to corner faster saving you gas and increasing your exit speed. A stiffer suspension will not dive under breaking shortening your stopping distance and will keep the weight from transfering backwards as you accelerate keeping presure on the front tires allowing you to accelerate quicker.|
