foucsrod I should know better but I don't give up. The wiring I have is out of a zx3 with a standard trans. That's why I came up short on wires. I need to find the wiring harness from an Auto Transmission. Any one know of a wiring harness for a 2001

TheGlassMaker Yea it branches off to the shifter. I sliced just before that so I didn't need to pull the center console aswell.

Glassmaker, you said that you splice yours mid way in the door opening. That made me go back and look. I found the branch back by the B post. Thanks for that little comment.

TheGlassMaker Yes I went from auto to auto. You will need a auto harness and auto ecu for the swap to work. Unless your going from a auto to a manual then you will need the manual harness and manual ecu. In that case I dunno the best place to splice.

foucsrod Did you have the same number of wires? My car is an automatic was yours? I'm not sure if the donor wire was from an auto. What I may need to do is follow the wire.

TheGlassMaker The alarm should end at the dash. so the wires should all be the same down that low. I wish I could see whats wrong.

Midway

The place I counted the wires was midway down the passenger door. Thanks for the reply.

TheGlassMaker My se has a theft alarm but I didn't have any problems going to the zx3 harness that I used. Where are you splicing at?

I spliced mine about midway down the front door just before the shifter wiring.

Wiring

I'm in the middle of doing a swap . I'm at the point of installing the the wiring. I'm working with a 2001 SE with wiring out of a ZX3. I started to splice in the new wire and found there is fewer wires in the ZX3 wire. If I had to guess it would that the SE has a theift alarm. Has anyone have some advice for me.
