Wish I could have 2 weeks off. All I get is Christmas off and maybe the day after but I doubt it. Then New Years and the day after. At least it's something.
Hope everyone is going to have a excellent Christmas/New Years.

|SVTF 03||I think the fl-2005 is a larger filter that fits on the SVT.|

Generally speaking the filter becomes contaminated before the oil breaks down so thats your main enemy Does anybody make a bigger filter for the SVT? for instance the VW 1.8t motors you can use the Passat oil filter which is a bit bigger to get extended life out of it.
Also its worth remembering most cars use a little oil so the longer you go without changing the more likely you are to be low on oil so make sure to check/top off as needed.
If you haven't heard of them before Blackstone Lab will do oil analysis for $25 you send in a small sample of your used oil and they'll give you the PPM counts of various metals that are used in your engine and make recommendations for shortening or lengthening time between oil changes. Granted its $25 but if it saves me 2-3 oil changes a year then I figure its worthwhile to spend the $25 once.
