Like others have stated there just isn't much markup in a Focus, now if you want to buy a F-450 you'll see quite the discount!
Just make sure fees are in line and it is sometimes possible to negotiate better than X plan but look at everything, not just the base price.

X-plan is 99.6% of invoice, plus some fixed fees ($275 + max $100 doc fee). So, the higher the MSRP, the smaller proportion that those fees take up.
It's certainly reachable by a good negotiator in the right circumstances for relatively common models.

|rambleon84||Typically you will see larger x-plan savings as the price of the models increase. Haggling for extra is mostly up to how well of a job you can do and how eager the salesman wants to sell a car. So whether its a lower price on the new car or a better price on your trade in, worth trying for both imo.|

X Plan Question
I am eligible for X-plan pricing. Discount over MSRP is 4% for SE 5 door and 4.3% for Titanium 5 door.
I am surprised how little it is. I guess it also helps with doc fee which is good. I have been reading the threads here and see that it also helps with the hassle/negotiation factor. Also good that you keep the rebates.
Question is this, do you think I can do a little better if I push?
Let's say 6.5% on the titanium or 6% on the SE?
Finally, someone in a thread here mentioned they used X-plan and then just pushed to get them to pay a little more on trade. Perhaps a good way to approach.
Just seeking any comments from those with more experience.
