Thread revival in 3, 2, 1....
been working out for 5 months, started at 116lbs
1RM is 150lbs on bench
1RM is 325lbs deadlift
1RM is 245 squat, parallel to ground.
Was previously just working out, recently (two weeks ago) started TRAINING. hoping to compete in march, not expecting to win, but just to see where I stand.

I finished out my 5K racing season with a 21:06 in 24 degree weather. I was really hoping for that sub-21 run. Last year same race was 23:16.
Just ran a new personal best 20:31 in training, but it was an awesome 62 degrees out today!
I also ran a new best 10K at 45:50 in training. I figure I'll start running 10K's next year in addition to the 5K's. Some friends want me to jump into half-marathons, but not really ready for that yet.
I'm 15lbs lighter than when I started this thread (170lbs)

Ran a new best 5K last night. Actual distance was only 2.81 miles, time was 18:50.
Corrected 5K time is 20:46. Last year I ran it in 23:12.

Ran a new best 47:10 10K yesterday in training. I haven't run an official 10K race yet. Probably next year.
Best official 5K time is 21:02. Unofficial is 20:49. Running a downhilll race on Saturday, hoping to officially break into 20's.

BEST RUN OF MY LIFE, Broke all personal records today, 9:09 First mile, 29:15 5K Pace and ran a Full 4 Miles in 38:01!
Not too shabby seeing as the beginning of 2013 I was almost 275 pounds, Could barely run for 1 min. Down to 230 now! Not stopping this freight train!

I went to Baghdad in 2008 at 142 lbs. I had been real sick up to a month pre-deployment. My normal weight was 153-ish.
After 8 months in Baghdad I returned home 186.7 lbs. There was nothing to do but work, eat, train, eat, train, eat, sleep - repeat.
At 5'7" these are my personal bests (2008):
Squat: 500 lbs - 1RM
Deadlift: 405 lbs - 1RM
Bench: 305 lbs - 1RM
I made the 1100 lb Club which was cool.

Talking to my training partner now. We're going to do an 8 week 5/3/1 routine to get re-acclimated and then get back into the conjugate method. I will hit a 1000lb squat in competition.
