Very nice. I would recommend you got to Either CFM or Massive online to order the Timing belt replacement tools. Basically a bar that holds the cams and a pin to ensure TDC.
This is a huge help on a SVT Focus timing belt fix.
Also, look into getting new rubber connections for the Intake Manifold to the Engine. The original ones even at that mileage tend to collapse.
Good luck on the build, and keep us up to date. Would also love to see some photos of your re-build and revitalizing the focus.

Bought my first SVTF as a project
What's going everyone have been lurking for awhile, I've never owned a focus but I couldn't pass this deal up. Found a 03 SVT ZX5 131k silver with red and I believe the cold weather package. It has a blown head gasket and has also been sitting since sometime in 2010. I got it for a grand it's pretty clean all in all pretty good shape. I've already torn everything down and everything appears to be in good shape with no damage to any of the internals. I have what I think is a good game plan just would like to get some other opinions.
Head gasket and all other gaskets while its torn down
Plugs, wires, timing belt, water pump, idle pulley, air filter, tranny fluid, coolant, brakes all the way around.
Drain fuel, new fuel filter.
I think that should wrap my list up and I'm ordering parts tomorrow and just want to see if this all makes sense. Thanks for the help.
