AZfocus2012 It is a fairly flush fit. You might could slip a piece of paper or 2 under it but that is about it.

jeriku I like that a lot! Looks like it fits really flush with the body. Does it?

AZfocus2012 They emailed me back and said no version will be forthcoming without text.

Sorry I don't understand you very well.
But the producer will not produce one without any writing on it.
Best wishes,
Abby

Thank you very much!

I suspect that with the size of the ring, CF vinyl would be too thick and the weave wouldn't show well. That said, I imagine standard vinyl (I'm thinking gloss black) would do the trick perfectly.

AZfocus2012 Here is a quick photoshop without the text.

Simple, elegant, understated, much better.

Who owns a car and doesn't know which way to turn the key?

For $10, it is not bad, I just wished it came as I suggested, with no text.

Let's see if these photos work.

I emailed the manufacturer/seller and suggested a version with no text, just a faux carbon fiber ring or plain aluminum. Nobody using these can even see much less read the text, and we all know which way to turn the key, thus the text is superfluous. They would see what the manufacturer said. Who knows, maybe a better version will be coming. If it does, I will buy it.

mjd4277 Someone's been hitting the bottle a little early on the assembly line again!!!LMAO
Just kidding!!!

I never did tell anyone about this but when I bought my 2009 Focus SE coupe, somehow or another somebody at the assembly plant put an SE sedan chrome headlamp assembly on my car when there should've been an SE coupe(with the black/grey insert)headlamp assembly, making the car look a little "quirky"(it was replaced with a proper one by the dealer).
