amc49 'They sure seem to have no trouble figuring out the highest priced part that 'goes bad' on your car though.'

I rest my case Your Honor.............

ghostrider_14 Finally got the car back 1200 dollars later. They said they had to change the abs module 4 times because everyone they put in was faulty.

ghostrider_14 they have changed part after part and it still wont bleed so now ford is sending in a specialist because they have never seen this problem before.

amc49 From one bad caliper to this. I gotta say it, you're being milked like a cow brother. Gross incompetence seems to be the order of the day. Or they're not, and that is even scarier.

ghostrider_14 now they are saying its the abs module. They said 3 will bleed and 1 wont.

amc49 Yeah, slow as in brain power in mHz...........I NEVER bleed all 4 lines when pulling a caliper. If you block off end of disconnected line to not leak and quick enough doing it, the amount of fluid in master never gets low enough to expose air, the other 3 lines will still be full also. A simple 2 minute single line bleed and pedal solid as a rock in every case.

Odds heavily in favor of nothing wrong with master unless someone has now messed it up.

Sad how bad the Ford techs can be now, but same I guess as when we had a shop across the street from a GM dealership, we fixed LOTS of GM cars they couldn't figure out all through the '70s. They sure seem to have no trouble figuring out the highest priced part that 'goes bad' on your car though. Odd how that is the one that always seems to be at fault...............

This brake pressure gauge kit tells you how much pressure you are getting at each caliper. Includes adapters to 6 common fittings:

elsolo Their technicians must be slow.
It sounds about the same as,
"I replaced the fuse three times, and each time I blew. I am out of ideas."

ghostrider_14 Well almost 3 weeks later and the car is still at the dealer and when i called for an update the other day i was rudely told to not call them they would call me. They say they are on the 3rd ecu/hcu unit for the brakes because each one they get is faulty. Don't know what my next step should be all i know is im done with this local dealership ill travel to another ford dealer for my next focus.
