Juicedz Unfortunately, getting the car for around $18k ment I would have to make some sacrifices in certain areas. The biggest downfalls were rear drums and no foglights. However, I'm just glad I picked up a 5 speed and it also came with 16" rims instead of the 15" steelies. My thought process was that I could always upgrade the base parts later on. Granted it won't be easy but hey, money doesn't grow on trees.

Not unless you have an SFE sedan, or the sport package on the SE in 2012. The base was front disk rear drums.

hey did they fix ur tranny?
I got clutches/seals replaced almost 2 months ago. It's been waay better since then. It will still occassionally buck though. ANd so Itook my car back and they ran diagnostics, test drive, and reported it to Ford engineers who said mechanically theres nothing wrong with the car, or the transmission. They issued me the DCT characteristics document. They said the "symptoms" I was describing was normal operation/characteristics of the DCT trans.

its really good news because at least they made sure it was okay before giving me that document.

on the otherhand it's still a bit unnverving knowing that many people have not had any problems. I don't believe the excuse that these people with no problems simply haven't noticed, because there are plenty of "pro's" out there who have not noticed any problems either.

I read on another thread here that getrag says the dct can only handle 200 horespower.
if a good tune comes out could the dct handle more than that?
