I updated to 6.1 yesterday. Nothing is better but nothing is worse. Spotify still skips songs and the timer is incorrect most of the time. However, I found that if you start a new song from the app, it usually plays all the way through with the correct time and the next songs will play through also. If you change the song using the steering wheel controls or left swipe from the app or let it resume a song at start up, the song will always skip.

copernicium112 Yep, wanted to play around with the text settings some more to see so I figured I would start with a clean pair. I was in a hurry though so I still want try some more when both time and weather permit. Been streaming some Slacker since and that seems just as reliable as before. Haven't tried Spotify yet to see if it helped with the weird "track skip/unreliable song timer" thing.

Nope. Doesn't seem any better and fortunately not any worse either. Receive but can't send texts still the same. Benefits from 3.5.1 (faster BT connect, more reliable BT audio automatically resuming play upon subsequent startups, more reliable track info actually working when streaming BT) still seem to be functioning well.

FordIVTteam Hey, everyone -

Per our recent testing of the iPhone 5, we found Apple used a non-standardized implementation of Bluetooth MAP on iOS6. As a result, iPhones will not function with SYNC’s text messaging feature. However, we'll continue to work with Apple to ensure future compatibility.

I did not know there was an update this week...

I'm still on iOS 6.0.1 and when I go to Software Update on my phone, it shows that it is up to date.

Also, I have MFT so the steps in your video are different from mine.

*Update: The iOS 6.0.2 update is only for the iPhone 5 and iPad Mini.

dragonpalm So, after working fine for 2 weeks, MFT suddenly stopped receiving text messages from my 4S...

I had to go through all the steps to enable text messaging again. I guess it doesn't take too long but it's a little annoying.

How many of you got texting to work, then had it stop working and had to repeat the process again?

Well for anyone that is interested sending a text message via Siri did not work as it did in the video. What happens in my car when I activate Siri is the radio switches over to the phone, and then it works over the radio. I tried this while playing music via bluetooth audio and it will switch to the phone and then back to bluetooth audio.
