set321go thanks, i thought as much, they all look pretty seized on. I think I will do without it until the key fob stops working and I have no way of getting into the trunk!!

Sniper Focus The bolts are notorious for breaking off, and you'll need a new trim piece if you do break most or all of them.

Trunk/Boot opening switch

Hello,

I have recently purchased a 2003 focus estate/wagon it has a couple of issues one of which is the switch that opens the trunk on the exterior of the trunk.

I took the interior panel off the trunk today and it was obvious why it doesn't work it wasn't plugged in! I tried to unbolt the plastic exterior panel that houses the lock, number plate lights and the switch but the first bold sheared right off as soon as I tried to turn it.

I havent gone any further because I dont want to shear all the bolts and not be able to put it back on! Can i put new bolts in once I have it off or would i need an entire new unit?

thanks
