slybarman The fluid gets to 140, but in the video they make a point of saying that the windshield glass can handle the thermal mass of the relatively small amount that gets sprayed. We never had any problem with my wifes windshield.

#1fordfan How hot does the fluid get? I wouldn't want to be spraying hot washer fluid on my cold windshield, bad things could happen!!

slybarman Our cars live outside and maryland tends to get a lot of ice in the winters. A lot of the the time we are not cold enough for snow but we get freezing rain, etc. The heated wash on my wife's car makes pretty quick work of it.

BLRich1 Do you experience you need heated fluid a lot? typically when it is cold enough to freeze, everything else around is frozen too so my window doesn't get dirty.

slybarman Took a peak under the hood. There is some room on the back left, but the firewall is pretty curved and has some kind of insulation material on it. Not sure if it will work or not.

slybarman I read the install manual and agree it looks pretty straight forward. I am embarrassed to say I have not yet looked under the hood of my Focus and do not know what kind of room there is on the firewall for mounting. I will have to scope it out this weekend.

Magus2727 Looks like its fairly straight forward, they have a YouTube video showing how it is installed on a Pontiac Vibe. Don't see how it would be that different on the focus.

Alphatherm heated washer fluid

Hopefully this is the right place for this topic. Has anyone installed an Alphatherm unit on their focus? My wife's Enclave has heated wash and it is handy come winter. Just curious to hear how the install is on the Focus.
