matmatician Any update from anyone here? I'm in the process of hooking up my Metra Axxess control adapter and am having a bit of a time with it. The hvac controls are easy peasy though.

matmatician Lol nice! Yeah, that's where I got mine too! I'll post pics when I'm done, let me know how yours turn out too. I'm excited to see how they look installed

Blue5ive Haha, I forgot. I already have the led diversion from Starfurry as well. Been sitting in a bag until I could swap out the radio lol.

matmatician I'm right there with ya lol. I got my metra adapter in the mail yesterday, and the deck is waiting to be put in. I ordered from crutchfield and it came with the din adapter and actual instructions with pictures!! I love pictures... I'm a very visual learner. I also have an LED conversion kit coming for my HVAC controls and knew HVAC knobs coming too! It may take a week or two to get everything put in... School starts next week

Blue5ive Well I got the metra parts in the mail today for the radio harness kit and the antenna adapter. Already have the dash kit. Hopefully in the next couple weeks I can get around to trying to install it. Have to refinish the dash, install cf radio bezel, run new leads for the power port that will be relocated to the center console which is an SVT one. Then I can install the radio. Guess I have to insert all the wires on the harness kit into another harness on the radio???? We'll see in a couple weeks or so.

To Answer you both, CField is a great place to get these from as a whole yes. BUT I got the best deal I could find which was between Sonic and : EBAY - KINO LLC - 29.99 for the entire package, wire Harness, Antenna Adapter, Dash Kit.

Here is a link to his store via Ebay: KINO LLC

Blue5ive Thanks for the reply. I was afraid the blau was diff. My Kona had stock double din like the zx5 so I still have my double din dash kit with storage slot with the JVC still in it. It popped out when the Kona got totaled. The dash kit is still in perfect shape so I plan to reuse it. Guess I'll need the harness kit and the antenna adapter. A friend has the Ford keys so I already popped the blau. Its sitting out about 3/4" from the dash just waiting for the final removal lol.

Where would I order the dash kit and antenna adapter from??

Not to knowledgeable about this stuff so if they are diff then ill have a shop hook it I guess.

Thanks
Nope. The Blau is a completely diff Harness. It requires the following parts if you are moving to single DIN :

I just did this today. I had to replace my Blau with an aftermarket due to it shorting out. Here are the part numbers as they just came in the mail and i just installed mine. I will post pics later. FYI i have a 2003 SE - Sedan SPI

Metra 70-1784 Harness Kit - It's for VW 1980 - 2007 (never understood why this is this way but it is and it's awesome.) Works perfectly.

Dash Kit for Single DIN (NEW MODEL) - Metra 99-5806 - Single DIN with Storage Slot (be careful with this one as it doesnt' use Keys' if you wish to remove it. The simple removal is to use flat thin screw driver and insert them above where the trim ring fits, and then pop off the trim ring, and remove deck. DASH KIT Stays in car)

Metra 40-VW10 - Universal VW Antenna Adapter for rear connection

and the standard FORD Key to remove the stock deck from the Car.

Let me know if you need help. I have been doing Mobile Elect. for 12 years as a MECP.

Thanks
