waloupis My car is 1 month old ('14 Titanium hatch - factory Sony w/Sub) and I had the rattles from day 1. I started by removing the rear door panels and used a can of Krylon spray-on undercoating (about $5 each). I used almost 1 can per door panel. Let them dry thoroughly for a couple of days and then reinstalled them. Rattles in the rear were gone. Doing the front door panels this weekend. Hopefully that will fix this problem for good.

cbdallas Has anyone removed the panel from one of the rear hatchback doors? I've got the buzzing noise coming from my rr passenger door, and after removing the two bolts, still couldn't figure out how to get the panel off. Any other panel I've removed just used a handful of those white clips, but I gave up after pulling and prying didn't pop it loose. Any tips?

Around $75 if I remember correctly (parts & labor), but it was more than worth it just to not hear that incessant rattle every day! :) Obviously, your mileage may vary though.

It is nothing to do with the speaker or sound settings, it's the door panel cubby - plain an simple.
Is it ok to send a moderator all of my information like that?
I took mine to a auto sound shop, and they tracked it down to the door panel being comprised of two pieces. What happens is that the two separate pieces vibrate whenever the bass hits the right frequency. They ended up wedging some Dynamat in between the two pieces, and dampened a few other spots around the inner door skin that looked problematic. Ever since then I've been good to go. :) Unfortunately, it all just comes down to bad design on Ford's end, but I'm happy that I at least found a solution nonetheless. Hope this helps you out as well! Good luck! :D

No, they will work just fine without adapters. They do have their own brackets that will easily mount on the door. Contrary to what other websites say about the speakers not fitting the '12 Focus, they do fit the car.

It's not too bad, but it is noticeable.
