It can be done (at least on a Gen I Focus), but the only person I ever heard of that pulled it off didn't recommend it to others (after a long weekend and a broken windshield ...)

I agree! I am okay with my EMTC once i upgraded the knobs. No need in the auto climate control, just trying to see if it was possible.

Timthom62 The dual auto temperature control system (DATC) is substantially different than the manual system (EMTC). There are many additional sensors in the system for control and many different actuators for distribution in the DATC that aren't present in the EMTC system.

Switching to automatic climate control system

I was searching ebay and found a used automatic climate control module for $100. Does anyone know if it would be a simple plug and play for swapping the base climate to auto climate control? The plugs look different. I wonder how in depth a full swap would be.

An issue I see is that the the gold plastic around the automatic climate control would not match the silver.
