If they work well then that is great. But I had the oval ones and the sun and heat broke them down after a few years. They ripped very easily and I tossed them.

No, that is the roll-up version. It is cheaper. It gets good reviews though. Here is where I got mine (first item):

BTW I bought 2, one for my friend, but he sold his Focus, therefore I am selling one.

whynotthinkwhynot Eh, I use the magic 2 piece shades that you twist up to be about the size of a small pizza- fits well in the map holder on the back seat. The large size works well on Foci windshields. I'm sporting jumbo at the moment because the wifey didn't want to learn how to fold it up- she's resistant to new ideas.

Chaput87 I have to utilize all my space in the car best I can since I use it for camping a lot so the storage of the shade was the biggest issue.

Bought it for $30 shipped from www.improvementscatalog.com

I was really thinking of the twin oval popups though but again, the storage factor. Plus this is super quick and easy to use and I use it almost every time I park since the Dog is usually with me as well and it keeps the temp down in the car for her.

Blue5ive Glad you found one. I personally would never mount any kind of retractable shade since imho they look tacky when not.in use.

The 1st gens are hard to accommodate buy I settled for a universal twin pop up one. In my 1st gen I actually get full side to side coverage and almost full top to bottle coverage. I do flip the visors down to help it stay in place. No big deal in doing so. It only takes me like 30 seconds to put in place or take out so there is no hassle. And I like the fact that with a quick twist it folds up to only about 10" across and fits right under the seat out of sight. Being that it was cheap was a plus too. Just my experience.
