ZXthrizzle05 Your zetec will be fine for 240WHP man. No probs. That's a baby engine! I rebuilt mine with forged internals at 160k.

forddorf A good tune is everything. 87000 is nothing is well serviced. 10lbs of boost on a good tune is better than 6lbs on a bad tune.

*Z3R0* If you going to boost on standard internals dont boost much higher than 0.5/6 bar boost. If you want to do it properly get forged pistons & rods

BlckZTS Well it really depends on how much power you want. If you want to stick with stock internals do a compression test to make sure the engine is still nice and healthy. I would say look into fswerks or topspeed turbo kits if you have not already. Its all in the tune!

should i bother?

i have a 2004 zx3 with no modding done yet other than a cold air. i want to put a turbo and full exhaust on my ford but my ztech has about 87000 miles on it. if i put a turbo on how long do you think the engine will hold up?
