zetecgt Guys, the point of a meet is fellowship and hanging out. Regardless of whether we meet somewhere and eat or go to a racetrack, the point is to show up and GET TOGETHER.

We used to put on meets in San Antonio and have people drive from 4 hours away...but then again, I guess that's the mentality of the people down there. There was never any whining about where a meet was or how it was made. People just enjoyed the time spent and the partying we did.

We had Hill Country Cruises, Dinner meets, Cookouts, AutoX meets, Picnics, Medina Lake meets, the 3 sisters runs, meets in Austin like the Texas Roundup....etc...

NC is going to totally die in support unless we get some air under the wings....

wrc_fan Raleigh is too far for me to drive for a meet....

Plus, speaking of Zmax, I will be at Zmax on the 14th for an autox. We use the big parking lot they have there.

Focusology Is zmax 1/4 or 1/8? I'm up for heading to any track but would prefer a 1/4.

So far it seems I might have to work the 14th, don't know for sure yet. But so far no one has said for sure they're going, so we might have to reschedule it, but hopefully not. I'll post on FJ and see if it's still happening. If its not I'll start another thread about going to a drag strip.

Ralliman I'd love to go, but I'm a ways out from Raleigh, and I've got work on the fourteenth. If I have enough advance notice, I can make sure to request time off for the next one, though.

dyn085 What are the numbers looking at for people attending in Raleigh? I wouldn't mind meeting some FF and FJ members, but I don't really want to drive up there if no one is there. I'm not looking for massive numbers, I just don't want to arrive at an empty lot...

focusmaniaczx3 zmax is the 4 lane in charlotte. awesome track. they do the best prep of any track ive been to yet. dont forget about mooresville either. its only 1/8th mile but its a good track too

Focusology Probably after this meet we'll start planning a g2g at a drag strip at a central location. Only ones I know of are Piedmont and Farmington, could head down to the one in Charlotte that's 4 lanes wide. The name slips my mind though.

dyn085 I'd be willing to head up there, and if there is a drag day I wouldn't mind hitting that up also. I don't race or intend to be the fastest, but I wouldn't mind a few runs to get an idea of the Mk3 HYPER-RACE POWER!

That means low 16's, I'm afraid...
