ChalupaJones I dot have the bracket on yet but my Triax wore a hole in my shift boot because it gets too close to the trim when shifting into reverse. I'm curious if anyone has had a similar issue or input on a solution or adjustment to fix it. Thanks everybody, hate to revive an old thread.

And you just replied to a 9 month old comment.

But on topic.

I bought a Steeda Triax and then the bracket, the shifter by itself makes the gear shift feel more direct feeling, would have like a shorter actual shifter height but I could always cut new threads and cut off an inch or two.

After having just the shifter for a couple weeks I got the bracket too, after a little sanding I got it installed and I must say, it feels amazing. SOOOOOO much better then stock. Anyone that wants a better shifter feel should certainly go with both.

He told me to put it in 2nd and try it but it just rolls with no stoping. I will try to get a video of it and post it here.

There's quite a few variables and different things that could cause this.

How does the shifter feel in normal driving?

I personally always use the e-brake/parking brake when parking a manual car and some others additionally put the car into gear for extra protection from rolling. So I do recommend using the parking brake, however I would like to check into this further to be sure that it isn't any issue with our shifter as this would be the first we've heard of this.

Meathead Yeah, doesnt sound like a STS issue. If it were not fully engaging first gear, then you would know it while you are driving it.

That's a sign of a slipping clutch. Try parking in R.
