Wow, so you can't even turn it off in the S?
That's pretty mindblowing. We got stuck a few times so far this winter in the Focus... only thing that got us out was disabling the TC through the stupid menu system. 15" of snow + TC = fail.
I would caution those who are hardwiring anything that could disable your ABS. I hate ABS with a firey passion but hardwiring a way to disable it will almost guarantee that you are denied insurance coverage if you ever get into an accident. On my Subaru I just pulled the fuse, which worked fine on that car since you could just plug it back in. The MK3 is obviously more complicated.

|iakoboss7||i have read somewhere here (or another big site for focus in europe, i dont remember) that somebody that had pulled this fuse it ultimately damaged the "motherboard" in his car.|

I must say I agree with you. I have tried to find a dealer that will actually do things I want, such as shut off the ESC, and also DRL's, as the "running lights" make the fogs practically useless in actual fog... but that's for another thread.
Also, back on topic. An update from my last post in this thread, I have re-installed my over-ride switch, but moved the fuse into the actual fuse box with an in-line fuse. I have been using it for a few months now and have not had any issues. I also have a Bluetooth OBD II adapter and Torque pro. I have scanned for DTC codes regularly and have gotten none, so I think my last issue was merely a coincidence.
