2010SVT I've got the wheel forever ago but still havent done the swap yet. Been waiting to buy new buttons for the cruise control lol since that was the only part of the steering wheel that wasnt in good shape. This post was helpful though. I pulled the wheel off the totalled focus I found using this post lol.

That's because that's the EUROPEAN Mk2. That site is for all Euro cars.

I hope these corrections save others the time and agony I recently went through.

Upgrade Complete

I completed this upgrade in like 20 minutes, It was hard to find the right puller, had to modifiy the one I got from O'Reilly's, other than that it was a snap, This thread was great, thanks for the great pictures. I was able to have the cruise turned on for like 30 dollars at Parks Ford in Tampa, no hassle no fuss.

DO NOT TRY TO DO THIS ^ PROGRAMMING ON YOUR OWN - for American cars, this will not work, and you will spend your time and $ for naught.

Secondly, I do not recommend renting a steering wheel removal kit from an autoparts store - the Gen II focus steering wheel was designed to be removed with a small 2-jaw puller (which can also be rented from an autoparts store):

I was wondering if I could buy one and then do some precision cutting of the left side so that I could put in the cruise controls from my original wheel. Anyone have enough experience comparing the two wheels to know if this is possible? I would really like to have a brand new wheel but I don't want to spend the $332 my dealer quoted me. If I have to, I'll get a wheel wrap, but that is also my second choice to having a brand new OEM wheel for just $50.
I plan to do this with mine that didn't come with Cruise, it looks like you should be able to!
