Sorry for the slam Mate, but I guess I am way too spoiled from driving Euro Fords.
Thankfully exterior design language is improving.

Just over a year of ownership and just wanted to say this car is a beast.
Done a few mods and the usual maintenance, should have bought a Ford straight up.

got me a 2014 ST 2 with some nice mods already done to it. so basically its a stage 3 already. has cobb accessport, levels intercooler upgrade w/ levels intercooler piping kit, mbrp 3" exhaust and mbrp 3" downpipe, and cobb cold air intake. the best thing about it is the 19" rs wheels on it and has a 25mm spacer on the back. car is lowered with eibach's about 1.4" I believe and then has cobb short throw shifter and cobb white shift knob. ive had the car for about 5 days now and absolutely love it. the one thing I wish it had was the full leather recaros. it has the recaros cause its a st2 but I really wanted the nav and sunroof too lol. ill get some pics up here for you guys to

|FordFocus3||So we now have another car in the family, a new Skoda Octavia 150hp 1.4 TSI Manual (basically the same as a VW Golf) and it's interesting comparing it to the Focus. The Focus is the better driver's car, even if it is underpowered with the 1.6 125hp engine, but the steering and handling are simply so responsive and engaging that it always makes you smile. That I'm afraid is where the pluses stop... The boot is over 2 times smaller, noise levels are similar and the room in the front and back is abysmal. Then we come to the quality, being a VAG product the panel gaps, bodywork and interior plastics and overall fit and finish are simply second to none. The Focus can't even come close. And yes in Europe these 2 cars are direct competitors in the same segment ;)|

After five years of Focus commuting, the desire to be back in the HOV lanes grew stronger. As I promised to park the motorcycle for commuting purposes, I lost my Focus to a Fusion Energi. Not even close to the same driving style, but larger car and I'm back in the HOV lanes now.
I will miss the Focus for the fun driving, but welcome cutting out 30 minutes each way to work. And well, the gas savings too.

Still Happy 2 1/2 Years On
Enjoying my '14 SE 5-door even more now as I have a new job that requires driving about 550 miles per week. About 61,000 miles on it now.
I had a new clutch installed last year and it has been fine except for one day, when it got the dreaded shudders several months ago. Thankfully it was just that one afternoon and it has been fine since then.
The only other ongoing problem has been the unpredictable performance of the cruise control - dealer spent a couple of hours (no charge) trying to track the problem without success.
Would I buy another one? I have been building a new '17 SEL on the Ford site for practice!

|CraigZ||Yes. Stopped working again. Waiting for dealership to send me new door switch. Regulator was replaced on it before I purchased car. Worked for a couple of weeks then stopped. Brought it back and they quote "reset" window motor by unplugging it. Lasted a week before it stopped again. Purchased used at a Honda dealership with a 90 day warranty but they won't front money to bring to a Ford dealership to diagnose and repair. Been frustrating because I really like the car.|
