thatdudereeg I'm definitely willing to grab an extra airbox to drill into so I don't void my warranty. Unless someone has found a way to use the existing hole w/out making it bigger.

My only question that remains is; has anyone gotten this scoop:

to fit with this piece from the grille:

or am I completely off and need both the piece above and the triangle piece?

From what I'm understanding, if I can find a way to get that scoop attached to the grille piece, it will just click on to the triangle piece and the only thing I will have to alter is the hole in the airbox for the hose, correct?

So if I'm on the right track about everything above, I'll just grab an extra stock airbox, grille part no. BM5Z17E811EA, and the hose and scoop combo from Amazon:

I'm just looking for the judo solution. Maximum efficiency with minimal effort.

Sorry for the delay in answering your question. At the time I installed the FSWERKS CAI.
(2 years ago)there was not the choice that we have today. Also, I liked the ITG for clean ability and longevity. I installed the CAI in conjunction with a modified new mission air intake. The increase in sound levels at normal driving is not objectionable. At WOT it is loud, but I like it!

stuff1138 AKToronto just go to your dealer and ask them to order part CV6Z-9A624-B. You can try fordparts.com but I'm not sure if it works in Canada

EDIT: It cost me $3.84 and it isn't required for the snorkel delete, but I figured I'd do it for less than $4 why not right?

AKToronto Where or how is the easiest way to order a ST velocity stack inlet? Any quick links for a cannuck? Just out of curiousity.

I guess its an interesting debate now... Do this mod or just do a snorkel delete plus ST inlet, and for both, get the drop in filter, etc. Hmmmm....

Hugh587 Used this mod all last winter in Toronto, with a FSWerks CAI. No snow problems.

stuff1138 Snorkel delete w/ ST velocity stack inlet FTW

sailor This looked like a good option, but didn't pan out quite as well as expected.

Snorkle delete/drop in filter is the much easier mod. that seems to work better.

You can fancy that one up by using the ST inlet to replace the snorkle if you want.

Read up all you want on the options, that one should be better for your situation.

AKToronto Don't like the sound of the snorkel delete only too much...

Bogey Just do the snorkel delete and the k&n filter, then you have no worries ;)
