I've been checking in on the discussion forums for a few years, picking up little tidbids of info on 2.3 upgrades/suspension.
I spent time with Ford SVT "back in the day" as a Dealer Advisor for the SVT Owners Assoc., and was the guy who did the renderings of the SVT Focus, Cobra, Lightning & Contours in the form of T-shirts & frameable prints.

Welp, guess it was time I joined a Focus forum. I recently traded in both my 03 Limited edition Grand Prix GT and 01 Grand Prix SE and picked up a new 2014 Focus ST. I absolutely love this car. I've only driven a manual once in my life but I always wanted one. Both my Prixs were taking a crap so I bit the bullet and got this. I get the A-plan so yeah, had to get the ST. Coming from GPONA.com, a few members there have left their GP's for a Focus, and so when I posted mine on there, well thats how I found this site. Looking forward to making this place my 2nd home, 2nd because Tumblr is first and always lol.
Not planning to do any mods just yet, but I am looking at Koni shocks/struts (when released) and the Ford Racing exhaust/intake/tune kit (also when its released). Wait just remembered, new pads are going on first thing spring time. I'm sorry but ford really cheaped out on the brakes for this car. Anyway, cant wait to meet everyone here. Also, anyone near Lexington, Ky message me, I want to meet local people too. Never was any locals for the GP.
The names Ryan btw.

|FeistyFordFiesta||We came SO close to buying a 2012 Titanium. But I've had sporty little hatchbacks all my life so I thought I should get a more grown up car now that I'm pushing 50!|

My name is Zak and I live in great NW and I just wanted to drop in to say hi.The wife and I picked up a 2014 Tuxedo Black SE sedan with the cold weather package. It's her first new car and she loves being the one that has put all but 6 of the miles on it. I can't wait to take our first road trip to see how she handles. Happy Holidays everyone

New member here! I signed up a week ago and just received a reminder that I have not posted anything yet. This is a great site and I have been reading the posts to help me out on my focus problems.
Long story short, I recently purchased an 2004 Focus SVT. I have driven it like 5 times. First 40 miles, the engine light comes on with a running lean code. I'm not a mechanic but I am willing to learn. That is how I found this website. I cleaned the MAF sensor to eliminate the easier fixes, but before I could even determine if this was the fix, I have a massive coolant leak- plastic heater tube? had a 4-in split.
Once I finally replaced the part, I take it out again and completely lose pressure in the clutch peddle. I learned the clutch was hydraulic and shares the brake fluid reservoir with the brake system- which by the way seemed to fail on me when I was limping the car back home. At this point my excitement to fix the car is waning. I am now taking it to a mechanic. Thanks to everyone who is writing "How tos" and providing pictures. It really helps the lurkers out there.
