wrc_fan Last time I changed my drums, I pried it off and the old drum and installed it on the new drum with a block and mallet. Not sure if that's the propper way to do that though. Maybe someone else can chime in here.

fordfocus2000 Tone ring is damaged. It's ~$55.00 just for a part but I don't know where can I change it, since it is pressed.

wrc_fan Sounds like the rear sensor that mounts in the spindle could have been damaged or the speed ring thingie damaged when the wheel bearing was replaced. The mechanic will be interfacing with some abs components when changing a wheel bearing, as the bearing is intergrated into the rear drum. The mechanic should fix this.

ABS light on-Wheel Speed Sensor Problem

Hi,

Immediately after a mechanic changed the left rear bearing a got ABS light on.

This is how the problem manifests:

First, when I start engine ABS light is on.

Second, when I start to drive the car the light is on until I reach 12mph (20km/h), then it shuts down.

Finally, when the car reach 30mph (~50km/h) the light is on again and it stays whole the way.

What I noticed is that the breaking system is working strange before reaching 30mph, and it works fine after 30mph.

I returned my car back to the mechanic, he scanned the car but wasn't able to diagnose the problem . He told me that my breaks are fine (although ABS light is on), and that I can drive the car.

Do you have any idea what could be the problem?
