Carrera26 Just start out with your local SCCA region! Just 20 bucks for a non-member, and you will be amazed how incredibly fun it is. Not only that, but you will be able to find out more about any kind of racing you are interested in just by talking to everyone.

Garyk - Are you going to the SVTOA event down at Indy this month?

Geezer Rally wanabes should check out this school.

Tim campaigned the US Airforce Reserve Ford Focus (4wd) a couple of years ago in SCCA pro rally and did very well.

No, you get six 20-30 minute sessions over 2 days.

Its a really good experience, and you get a lot of track time.

racerdan Check NASA for some high speed touring. Here at Hallett outside of Tulsa it runs about $95 for 5 - 15 minute sessions. I've heard NASA is a little higher but not much.

nasa etal

nasa runs a decent hpde at summit point about 4 times a year-its not racing-you would need a log booked, rollcaged race prepped car for that. it combines classroom instruction with about 2 1/2 hours on track with an instructor (yes i am one of those loons who does it-sitting in the passenger seat at 120 mph). go to for a look see.

Templar I live in central wv, and know very little, just want to try to get my feet wet. Just want to maybe do a couple of races a year and don't want to have a dedicated track car. I just wanna go out and have some fun...
