focusmaniaczx3 mine did about the same thing but less severe. it just popped the vacuum line for the brakes off. made it run like crap and lost power brakes.

focuzed1 well kinda.. the motor rocking back and forth ended up hitting my vacuum line on my fuel pressure sensor and shearing it right off..

focusmaniaczx3 i bet the motor rocking back and forth so much from that busted bracket was tweaking vacuum lines and causing all kinds of havoc with boost. that was probably what caused that

focuzed1 yeah i was feathering it.. and the last one i also had issues with the boost.. only getting about 5-10psi as well as a broken tranny mount..lol..

focusmaniaczx3 dayam dude. you really REALLY need some drag radials or something. you can really hear the tires on that last run. sounded like you were feathering in and out of the throttle in 3rd trying to get some traction. putting some good tires on there would drop at least a second off your time i bet. alot of time wasted on spinning there

focuzed1 video posted in first post.. tell me what you think..

focuzed1 that is why i would like to find a way to mount it to a few more bolts on the tranny case/motor flange.. im working on something ill take some pics later.. hopefully ill have it done by monday..

focusmaniaczx3 only one way to find out... ill test it on my car if i ever make it to a finished product. ill go to the track hopefully on a tow dolly and start with the regular setup with the VF mount and street tires. make some passes and get an average for 60ft times. swap out the tranny bracket and VF mount for the solid piece and make a few more passes, average out the times. see if they got worse or better and also inspect very carefully for any damage. im expecting ALOT more vibration and diminished wheel hop if not eliminated all together. it will definitely snatch alot more smoothly if the engine and tranny cant budge. im just worried about it possibly doing damage to the transmission case or subframe. hence the tow dolly lol

focuzed1 sounds good.. let me know.. im just wondering.. would that be too stiff...
01-19-2010 12:48 PM
focusmaniaczx3 well i can tell you it would be a hell of alot easier to fabricate a solid mount than to fabricate one to hold a poly bushing that doesnt tear the bushing all to crap. ill start my homework
