Any luck with audio???

Has anyone had any luck with getting the audio controls to work? I have a 2008 Focus SE and bought the steering wheel with cruise and audio for sync. I saw the sync accessories kit online, but it appears that it has a separate unit to control the phone rather than the steering wheel. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Gang
I'm looking for a dealer in the Detroit area willing to enable cruise control after I install the correct steering wheel. The dealers I've contacted are not interested in helping. (Suburban ford sterling Hghts. & Russ Milan).
Anybody got any leads ??
Thanks
Gary

ram102 By any chance can this be done to an '11 ford focus. This is the last year they made this body style before they changed it for '12.
I have the 2011 SE.
Thanks

mikeeshaq """I have tried to find a dealer within a 100mile radius of my town and they keep telling me no they can't reprogram my pcm to turn on cruise control. Does anyone know if there is any way to do it yourself? """

You are dealing with a small and or cheap dealer that doesn't want to get the 'programmer' because it does cost no way to do that yourself. BTW you need to ask them Why they cannot program the pcm. It IS possible that they do not know how

Well to quote myself, I was wrong about the steering wheel puller. Now that I think about it, I did use a puller on mine. Sorry about that SRG!

Patatoe1 That's where I ended up getting mine installed. Did it on a road trip down to Florida.

srg2412 Mike, thanks for the reply, but unfortunetly, I couldn't get the wheel off.

I ended up driveing to the dealer I bought the Steering wheel from, Gary Yeoman Ford of Daytona Beach, and having them do the work.

So, 2010 Focus sedan S, plus cruise-control steering wheel, plus computer flash = fully working factory install cruise control!

No extra servos, no Ford "kit"....... Just find a dealer who will do the flash and you're set!
