Thanks again for the suggestions.
We had a blast bar hopping down Las Olas Blvd when we got into town.
And, Thanksgiving dinner was mighty good, even though it was at the China Grille (in our hotel)
They did end up having a pretty delicious "traditional" dinner after all.
Now...about all that rain when we were here...

The places I mentioned are way out in the NW area of the county. You would need a rental car. 15th Street Fisheries is serving a Thanksgiving meal, call for rez. 954-763-2777. They are on the northside of the Hilton, if ya can walk across the water, your there. It looks like your FF photo shows the Focus in race form, just asking. Stop into the Bahia Cabana for a Rum Runner or 2.....We do have indoor karting down here. `Glades and beach are great choices.|

Last check in before I need to pack...
I can't believe I didn't see this earlier;
Are ya a racer ?
Oooooo....anxious to see what's up with that.
Go karts maybe?
My wife has been on Daytona with the Richard Petty Drive Along Experience.
I just don't think we have enough time for that though.
I want to take a tour through the Everglades and swim in the ocean.
After that, it's all open!
A friend of mine with Cruise Planners is going on a 2 day trip for insiders in the industry on the same ship, enjoy !
Must be the same trip!
It'll be short, but that's about as long as I can handle a mega crowd like that.

Thanks for the responses!
We're staying at the Hilton Fort Lauderdale Marina, but I'm not quite sure where it is in relation to all the suggestions.
I'll have to print this thread out before we take off tomorrow morning.
I know we wanted to check out the River Walk, so that just might work out perfect.

Most are not buffets, just a plate with all the trimmings. Riverside Hotel is charging almost $50, we are paying $27. Last year we went to McDivots,a nice setting in Margate with a buffet. A friend of mine with Cruise Planners is going on a 2 day trip for insiders in the industry on the same ship, enjoy ! Also try the water taxi for a nice view of the city, they allow coolers and offer an all-day pass. If ya get lost or need more info call me, I`ve lived here for over 5o years. Are ya a racer ? 954-610-6576 Jim L.|

|BigRed03||Where in Ft. Lauderdale? Las Olas Blvd and River walk is nice, many nice restaraunts and what not to eat at, night life, latin music. It will be Thanksgiving, so it may be pretty dead....And its close enough to Port Everglades for a cab (they are outrageous here...) maybe a mile if your up to walking, depending on where you want to eat....|
