gtompkins09 Me too! Found oil in two. If Chris said, "it doesn't look difficult." Then, I should be able to replace the valve cover gasket. Sounds like fun. wink

Let's see what Autozone have there.

Replaced valve cover gasket that Autozone did have. All is well.

Well your thermostat housing should be fine as long as you don't have coolant dripping/leaking everywhere. I think it's just your thermostat that's buggered and that's a $8 part.

ChrisRobin I'm coming across the same problem...

The valve cover gasket costs about $40 and then to change it doesn't look all that difficult.

zinsavage123 is this normal for that to happen in these cars? also since u said a warrant to cover it im assuming its expensive to replace the gasket or no?

ajp the valve cover gasket is indeed the issue and needs to be replaced. i would get it done at a place that offers a warranty....

if it is not replaced sooner than later, the issue may compound and you may start having thermostat housing problems

ah1f39 Will only get worse. May cause the plug to misfire.

spark plug and oil issue?

I went to check my spark plugs and seen oil on the ring of where the plug comes out as well as on the spark plug boot. I was told I need a new valve cover gasket, cause some oil is noticable on the outside of the valve cover as well. Is this true for both issues? Also what causes those two issues is it anything major I should fix like asap? cause the oil isnt on the actual tip of the plug, but was on the plug and outer ring where you go to untighten them.
