Spinal as far as i know all they do is thin out the throttle plate and remove this random piece of plastic thats in the TB but its not actually any bigger, its just a slightly modded stock one.

For automatics, it really helps "wake up" the motor, as well. Basically a bigger hole for air to go through means faster air, faster response.
