mconrada Nope no slicks... On a set of yokahamas. I've been working on my take off for about a year now and it was hard at first... I couldn't find a sutable RPM to launch from with out horrible wheel spin. Every time I took off I'd hit a 2.3-2.4 in the 60ft. So I started screwing around with different techniques... I learned to feather the clutch just a bit and the car will just squirt its way to a low 60ft time. I couldn't have worked it out with out the Vector though. I think it was worth the 150 I spent.

EuroZX3 sounds like a pretty close ET for those mods. but that is a damn low 60 ft time.

cen you run with slicks on the street? Cause there's NO way you would pull off a 2.17 60' on stockers.....

mconrada I've taken it to the track everytime I went to test its accuracy and it is usually on point or maybe off by a few hundredths... When I run my car outside of the track I always go to the same spot. I just wish the Vector was capable of downloading so I could print the info out.

So it was a nice cool night and I decided to take a detore on my way home to a long deserted road. I broke out the good old Beltronic and decided to run my car a little. I practiced my take a few times and then prepared for the full run. I goosed the gas and chirped the weels just a bit. Heres what the beltronic read:
60ft 2.17
330ft 6.43
1/8th 9.95 @ 69.7mph
1000ft 13.00
1/4mile 15.63 @ 85.8mph

I was so stoked after running that time... I need to get out to the track soon.
Only place that would be accurate to run a Beltronics or a G-tech is at the track(but why you are already there) or on a drag strip. everywhere else is in accurate. When they test the devices they test them on a drag strip. The only thing they are good for is if you back to the same spot you tested after you have done a new mod, and see if your time improved. But the actuall time will be in correct. I have a G-tech pro but only use it for the gains part. It said I ran a 15.5 on a bone stock 2.3 focus, when at the track it took CAI and E to get a 15.2
