lildudeinacar i am defently likeing the advice, perhaps you are right about the vacume leak. Where might the common problems for us be located at?
09-22-2009 09:05 AM
illinipo from what i have seen on this board the dealer techs will take longer to find a solution than we will. Most of them just dont have the experience on the focus that we do to know the common problems.

and from what youre saying there is nothing you can datalog to show what the problem is... except maybe stft to check for a vac leak, and even that can fool you. Besides, all they will do is plug their little thingy in and look for codes, then charge you $70 to watch them shrug their shoulders.

now stop speculating and replace those spark plugs.

lildudeinacar Ahh yeah i didnt know if the new number was AZF's or the SP's

Thanks for the input though.

Lets says... If its not vacume nor the plugs?

Do you think that a dealership would be able to figure it out. I am just hopin that if it leads to that, that the dealership has a nice modus or something that can pull up parameters and show graphs and stuff. I dont want some old fart to plug in a autozone scanner into it/ They have a very short window to get what ever information that they can grab before it self fixes and have to wait another day.

lildudeinacar Yes, High Humidy, or when its "dewy" outside and a decent chilly night. But yah true, I will get plugs tommarow. Anyone rememeber the motocraft ones for the SVT ASF22F? or something like that?

blackoutSVT mine is doing it as well.. when i first start the car... i thought my air filter had gotten wet with all the rain cause it sounds like a small amount of water is getting in to the motor and then burring off.... and it doesn't do it all the time.... only when we have a good rain or if it is cold out side..
