WeeAsp You will rub with a 45 series tire.

I run a 225 FORTY (40) R17

Svtzx555 I have 225/45s on SVT wheels and they scrub on hard dips. I can barely fit my fingers between them and the fender(I'm sitting on the Eibach Pro Kit), so I would hate to think what happens if I were to try auto x with those...probably eat a notch in my fender.

steve35svt thanks alot ,if i can convince the mrs. race tires are budget worthy ,that will be a good starting place.having competed in rear drive for years and less than 20 events front drive,i'm still figuring it out.your starting pressures lead me to believe the SVTF is better balenced than i give it credit for.

Ooof....

Tough question to answer because I tend to start with a baseline of 32 PSI front and rear and adjust based on the course.

Of course, sometimes, I can tell based on the layout if I am going to need more lateral grip (increase PSI on all 4) or more rotation (increase PSI rear only).

That said, I would not go below 30 PSI in the front or any higher than 36 in the rear.

Do it! the path to the dark side isn't so bad.

steve35svt Great,225/40's fit ! I was concerned by the lack of clearance between the rear shock and the tire.Yes I'm on a tight budget , 4 kids will do that , and NTO1's won't beat that Mini. I've bought used Hooier's from Appalachian Race Tire before in the late 1990's ' I'll have to check if they still offer them. thanks for the help!
