Justin, I ran the car three times, and my 1/4 mile was higher(slower) the higher you shift.
Tickford is right, my best of 17.03 was when I shifted at 5300-5500 RPM.

you didnt pull that in a focus with an exhaust.

it could still of been air temp/sea level and mayeb even grip - when i ran my 16.737 stock my 60ft time was 2.363 and r/t was .626 so i was off the line quicker- try a different shift point- maybe 5500 that way ur right at the peak of the powerband- off the line maybe try a lil lower rpm in order to not spin- really just keep practiceN - u'll get ur times down don't worry
takeN mine to the dyno next week- i know its gonna be dissapointing but oh well gotta know how bad it is.
new track times this friday comeN up-

it could be a lot of things- first if your exhaust is 2.5'' all the way back with nothing but pipe u have lost to much backpressure- shifting well a lil late there more like 5500 is where i try to shift when i ran my 16.7 stock i was shifting at 5300-5500 and geting off the line is crucial - not ur R/T but ur 60ft times are big they affect ur whole run, got to get off to a good start. try power shifting? just keep practiceN
i just got some more play time with my SAFC and now i getN into the 15's easy and all i have is HP racing race header, full 2.5 exhaust with muffler, AEM intake and SAFC 2nd ed. brembo rotors, and H&R springs (1.4'' drop is all i got out of them )
plan to add Optima battery (not sure yellow or red top yet), MSD ignition as soon as they come in.
then plan on the AEM alt. pulley and the FC water/crank pulley set then we'll see what i run
just tryN to get into the 14's (mids prayN) without tryN to touch the inside of the engine
