scrammer on the bottom of the housing, mine has 3 posts that are the mounting posts for the OEM ballast. also, there is an oval shaped divet that can be punched out to allow the connnection for the ballast to be connected to the wiring harness inside the housing.

i have not see if the d2s ignitors will mount to the projector bowl yet. but it is easily an H7 bulb. i have d2s bulbs and ignitors in the garage from an old set of machs. ill see if they mount up. ill update ya when i do.

nacnudv8 Regarding being OEM ballast ready, do mean the OEM ballast can (does) fit inside the unit? I just have mine external to the unit.

I'd be interested in your choice of HID bulb. Mine called for a DS2, but I had to cut notches in it to fit (LHS) soI just put an H7 in the RHS.

scrammer arghhhh...no pics yet. hell ive only opened one of the boxes. dude, those bulbs are so far down in there. i may end up opening them up and replacing the bulbs. besides. it will give me a chance to paint them the same color as the car and get rid of the chrome rings. yuk!

btw, these lights are made by the same people who make the aftermarket Mach headlights; the ones that dont come with lighting hardware.

i found it cool that these headlights come ready for OEM ballast! one could place an OEM style HID setup into these lights. they are also LHD and RHD, the cutoff shield is reversible; thought that was cool.

ill update ya on what i decide to do.

gotta get to ordering the leds i plan on putting in them.

the lights for the halos.....how the hell do you access the halo bulbs that surround the highbeam?? i can get to everything else. its sucks that the eyebrow is only 1 bulb(from what i can see)

thanks!
I know they're really far in there. I've never done it but some very long needle nose pliers or long 90deg pliers would probably be able to pull the bulb out. Good luck it looks a PIA!

Got any pics yet?

im glad to hear that the extras are lit up by more than 1 bulb. you say that you got a D2S bulb to fit into the socket? elaborate on that please
Yeah, - the bulb in the left light is actually a D2C - which is the universal D2S/D2R fitment.

The projector says on the plastic inside the light: "D2S" - but when I first put the lights in I had H7 HID bulbs and they went straight in.

Since then I have been messing about with them and I had some D2S (C) bulbs so I thought 'let's put them in as that's what its really supposed to have'. Well as it turns out, the projector is really a H7 fitment, so I had to cut a notch in the D2S (C) plastic base to make it sit in the holder.

I also noticed that the D2C is a bit longer in the filament than then the H7 and hence the focus is not as good as the right hand (H7) side which still has the H7 HID in place. The D2S consequently does not seem to have such a good cut off in this projector. I'm gonna take it out and put the H7 back in. But I like the D2S's color temp better it is a little whiter (5000K) than my H7 which is about 6300K (bluer).
