Wooley My vote is for Philips X-TremeVision if you want 100% brighter than standard and CrystalVision if you want whiter (4000K) and brighter.

You shouldn't have a problem. but i've always found that its always case by case basis. But like all things aftermarket, when isn't it. If no one else has tried it, then You sir, will be our Guinea Pig. =]

KC-Kruiser I have a question now. I have a plain jane from factory ZX3 with no foglights as an option. What options do I have in installing some. I don't believe there is wiring down there for them. I will have to change or modify the lower grill to accomodate them too.

KC-Kruiser Well said Ska!!! I am reading everything I can in here. I have learned alot in the last two days. Thanks to ALL who have contributed. It is unfortunate that some of you have to continuously repeat yourselves, but it helps me out (hopefully others) to read it over in different ways explained.

Because projectors that aren't designed for HID suffer from the same issues as reflectors. There is less beam scatter (but it is still present) to blind traffic, but just like a reflector housing it won't light well far down the road. If HID worked for as cheap as you can get it on e-bay, then practically every car on the road would have them. But it doesn't work like that. Once again, when an automaker builds a headlight they build the reflector/projector around the bulb it is intended to use. Change the bulb, and you change the position and axis of the light source which causes all kinds of uneven light distribution resulting in hotspots in front of the car and little to no light far ahead of the car, and beam scatter that blinds other drivers.

WhiteZX3Abilene Have you guys looked on ebay lately? 75$ shipped for HID kits, er conversion kits. My buddy has a 2003 eclipse GT and he bought one of these kits and it looks orgasmic. now im talking about an asian kid who has no life and knows A LOT about headlights. The HID's look awesome and they came with a 2 year warranty and everything you needed for a flawless install. As long as you have the projectors i don't see why not to get an HID conversion.

I'm currently running silverstars but they have the same color as regular halogens, just brighter (on my FoFo). My budget says stay with halogens but I want a crystal white (perhaps some blue also) color to the driving lights.
