muskratjames I wouldn't worry. Starts faster than my '92 Bronco did...

Fastest starting car was my '68 Mustang...man, when that thing was warmed up, it would fire before the first crank even finished (cold was a different story :D ).

Yeah, I bought mine in April with 37k miles and have already put 5k miles on her...that's a whole year's worth of mileage in a normal year for me in just 3 months and a week, although 2k of those was because of a roadtrip up to Illinois, so I'm telling myself that doesn't count

BlkMamba03 Some days it starts right up,some it takes a few cranks.I am reaching 50 thousand miles on my 03 svtf ,am the original owner and it has done the funny start from the beginning. I tried to see if weather was a factor but it was not. After 4 years it still runs better than ever on the track and street.

NJSVTGUY Your fuel press may not be holding after shut down. Turn key 1/2 way twice then full to start. lets pump build up press.

cronus1987 Mine was has always started slow; Even now with a new alternator and battery and freshly cleaned terminals. I used to drive a 95 camry and it wouldn't turn the engine really fast and start nearly immediately. Mine's sort of a thunk thunk thunk thunk th'vroooom! ...I like the vroom.

I've heard if you get a 4gauge ground kit it'll start a little faster. Or maybe just turn the engine a little quiker.

03SVTFoci I have an 03 with 18,900 miles. I bought it new in Sept. 03. Its a summer drive and in a climate controled environment during the winters in Michigan. As for the slow starting, my battery terminals were pretty nasty so I cleaned them. Turns over on the 3 try. Original motorcraft battery.

FrozenFoci Yup, normal. Since I bought her at 12k miles, still doin the same at 52k 20 months later. Never had any problems with the longer starting though.
