First, I made a deal with the salesman for a certain payment. Then the finance department told me that that payment was impossible. So I walked out. The salesman and sales manager chased me down and dragged me back into the dealership, and that was where I made my first mistake. I should have just left.
It's partly my fault because I lost my temper with the tactics they used, but in the end, while they agreed to pay the sales tax themselves, they actually sneaked it into the price of the car. Then, when they delivered the car to my house (it was at another dealer) they had removed the window sticker and refused to give it to me. So I have no idea if the price they charged was correct or not. I went to the ford website and built the car and found that the web price was a grand less than the price on the contract.
I called the salesman the next day and told him what had happened with the delivery and told him to come get the car because I was cancelling the deal. he said he'd be over soon but 5 minutes later the general manager called and told me that there was no way they were canceling the deal. I told him myh attorney would call him on monday and hung up. He called right back and got threatening with me. Great way to deal with an unsatisfied customer.
This was an emergency purchase. I was going to buy in about 6 months but my truck died and the repairs were so expensive that repair did not make sense.
I should have walked away, but their tactics make them a NO GO for me and I doubt that anyone would have a satisfactory sales experience here. I consulted my attorney and he said he could wreck them for a couple of grand but why spend two grand more when I had already lost two.
In the end, I listened to my attorney.
Love the car...hate Crain Ford. And today some little teenager called to see if my buying experience with Crain was satisfactory.......LOL.
I also note that on their sales floor, the front desk is a half circle against the wall and is very high. In front of that is another half circle of very thick glass with only two narrow entrances on the ends that you must pass through in order to get to the front desk. And now that I think of it, I think this is bulletproof glass. No Joke.

Crain Ford, Little Rock, Arkansas
Don't even go there. There's not an ounce of integrity within a 5 mile radius of the place.
