I would recommend doing the roll restrictor motor mount, you can get polyeurathane pushings to restrict your motor from rolling as much as it does with rubber bushings, I bought the whole thing but the very cheap method is to press in the bushings that will fit your factory dogbone.
this is what i got
this is what works on the factory dogbone

|Jaketet||Just finished taking my counterweight off. It definitely changed the feel of shifting. There is now 2 distinct notches as you go from one gear to the next. It feels alot better, gates are easier to find and it's easier to tell when you actually get it into gear.|

|LiciouzSVT||If you have a long 13mm wrench this mod takes about 5 mins. It is an amazing transformation. Makes the shifter feel 10lbs lighter. I find myself no longer fighting to get the car into gear. And it's free =)... This mod put a smile on my face!|

for the people talking about adjusting the linkage, i got some pics on how the orange things work on this link, if anyone cares
round ones have to be pushed in, and they lock in place in the down position, to adjust. There is a release tab thats hard to see on the back for them to pop back up and lock in place
square ones have to be popped up to adjust, and that can be done with a screwdiver.

|bespurcell||Just did this mod. I really like the improvement. The bolt was a pain to get out. Other than that it was very easy.|

|Handyman84||I am the new owner of a very early 02 SVTF. Looks like this will be one of my first mods. I am trying to improve the car on a tight budget. Very tight. What are some other cheap mods you guys recommend?|

|OrangeSVT5-dr||So... if everyone is taking them off does anyone have one they want to send me? I really just need the white plastic bushing that is on the counterweight arm but let me know what you got shipped to 98021... Thanks!|

Basically you have to remove the airbox, then reach down and adjust it. Tool-less after the airbox is out of the way.

Haven't adjusted the shifter yet. do I need the car on a lift or is this something I can do in my garage?
Checked those clips in your link and they are working fine.
