New 2017 Titanium HB Owner
Just got a new 2017 Ruby Red Titanium hatchback for a daily driver/commuter car. I've had an M3 for ages which I still love but I wanted a new comfy versatile every day car, which the Focus Titanium fulfills well.
This is the first car I've ever had with an automatic transmission. I would've taken a 6-speed manual if it were an option but it's a commuter car so it's no big deal.
I was firm about wanting the light Medium Soft Ceramic interior color (I like a light color for leather and would prefer black for cloth), and I did not want a dark exterior color (my M3 is black and I swore I'd get a lighter color for my next car) and those two things apparently severely limited my options. For whatever reason, even though there's only two interior colors to choose from, the overwhelming majority of them have black interiors.
I originally wanted White Platinum but the closest Titanium w/ MSC interior one was over 800 miles away. So I expanded to Ingot, Blue Candy and Ruby Red, and there was just one Ruby Red w/ MSC available in my entire region, which is what I bought.
Anyway, I'm glad I stuck to my guns with the light interior, I like it more than black, and will even more so in the summer no doubt. Ruby Red wasn't my first or even second color choice, but I think it looks great, it's the perfect shade.
Gonna look into getting it tinted next week.
