the other luxary I have is that I live in Florida and there is no major rust on either one of my cars but a few spots here and there, my celica has the paint fading on it, the focus is clean cept for the small spots of rust and the dent in the drivers side rear door which im sure I could just take to the body shop and have them bang it out for me.

GREETINGS FOCUS FANS,

I just dropped in to introduce my self, I've been lurking for a couple months now and just signed up. I must say I like what i see so far, been a member of TRS which is a ford ranger based forum for years. This is my first focus so I have a lot to learn, but so far I'm making progress slowly.
Well first off I'm Bill I do detail work at my stepbrother's used car lot. not the most glamorous job in the world but beats the hell out of some of the jobs that I've had in my life.lol On to the car, what I have is a 2008 2.0 Vista Blue Metallic se sedan. I really feel like a newbie cause I can't tell ya much about it as I've been a truck guy all my life.
Here's a quick pic i took right before the first snow of the season here in pa hope to learn and share info as I can tks and hope to enjoy my stay here..

Hey. I am derek from west virginia
Trying to get my 2000 ford focus back on the road. bought it for $500 with a great beautiful body, and thought i somehow got a steal. Didnt know the valve seat had dropped and how much of a hassle it is to find a new engine for a 2000 ford focus. same old story. haha

Hello all. I'm Jason. I'm 37 years young & I live in Nashville TN. Just got my new ingot silver 2013 SE this past Friday (12-29-12). Loving the car so far. I plan on doing some modding eventually, but I think I will wait until my warranty expires before I start making any big changes. If there is any cruise/meetup action in the Nashville area, let me know. I'd like to meet up with some fellow Focus owners.

Hi

I just bought an 04' ZX3, It has quite a bit done to it, but all of it seems to be rather mild and nicely done.

Including:

VF/FSWerks Stage 2 Supercharger kit
FSWerks Race Header
Borla Cat-Back Exhaust
Massive Lightweight Crank Pulley
MSD Coil with Massive Wires
Eibach's Full Sportsline Suspension Kit
18 inch Enkei GW8 rims
16 Ford Alloys with winter tires
Ford Racing SVT 4 Wheel Disk Brake Kit
Euro Front Bumper
Ford Racing HID Headlight Kit
Euro Grills
SVT partial Leather/Red Cloth Seats front and rear
Pioneer In dash DVD
Infinity Door Speakers
Stealth Box with 10 Pioneer Sub and amp
And more stuff I'm forgetting, this is just what was listed in the ad when I found it.

I'm on a military base overseas, so registering it takes a little more than normal. I wont be able to pick it up till Wednsday, but I'm already anxious to start driving it.

I'll be sure to get some good pics and more info when I pick it up.

Hello everyone,

My name is Eric (Ravnibrow), and I am purchasing a brand new 2013 Focus SE ~$16k, in sterling grey with winter package, 5 speed manual transmission and keyless entry pad. The dealer did not have the particular model with options in stock and I was assured that he should have it in the next few days and that the car should have between 15 and 50 miles when I take possession (I don't know how normal this is, but I find it acceptable). This is actually the first ford that I have purchased, so I figured I'd pop my cherry with a focus. I drove a 94 Ford Probe GT for a few winters, and the car ran like a top at 20 years old and 100k miles.

I realize that this particular model comes with drum breaks in the rear, but I would eventually like to upgrade to all wheel disk breaks (thinking Brembo, but might be overkill). Additionally I might like to add fog lights, but I have never really used the feature on my previous vehicles, so thats a big maybe. There are a few other additions that I would like to make in the not to distant future, so I will take pictures when I pick it up at the dealership and keep a good photo log of all the upgrades as I make them.

If anyone has any tips, suggestions or advice in general on this particular model I would greatly appreciate it. Similarly, if anyone has any concepts or ideas for design and or upgrades, I would appreciate that input as well.

I have been driving an 06 Pontiac G6 GT for since 2008, but totaled it Christmas eve in a freak snow storm just outside of Detroit. Prior to the G6, I owned a 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 sport 4X4 (and borrowed 1994 Ford Probe for the winters; amazing car BTW), 1984 Dodge ram 50, 1984 Corvette LT1, 1978 Chevy Impala, and a 1984 S10 Blazer.

Im glad to see that there is a community of car enthusiasts with a forum dedicated to this particular model. I hope to find good tips, advice, and hope to offer input on topics that I am knowledgeable.

Thanks all,

Ravnibrow

Hi everyone !
My name is Rémy Ledoux. I'm from quebec ( canada) near the city of montreal. I'm a member of this forum for a while, but I never posted (a part of it is because I was a bit unconfident about my english skills since I speak french ). But trust me, I've been through almost every thread on this site for the last 3 years ( Better to read previous posts then to ask the sames questions that have been answered). I'm about to turn 22 and I bought myself a gift ahead of time: a infra-red zx5 focus svt !! The car only cost me 1800 $ but there's a lot of work needed in order to get her right, guess that's the payback for buying cheap cars. My first car was a focus zx3 that I modded a bit ( stg1 cams, exhaust, tom's tune ) but my real goal was to own a svt so when I saw the ad I jumped on the opportunity and sold the zx3.

As I progress through all the stuff on the svt, I might post a couple of questions, but most of them have already been answered on the forum [ffrocks]

Hola my name is Alex I live in Seattle, I've been a Ford enthusiast for a long time now. I joined this website when I started a project 98 Ford Escort ZX2, with a SVT swap. As of yesterday I bought a 02 Focus SVT, although the project car will be pushed aside for now. I plan to keep and work on both cars, I'm really happy with my Focus its good to be here.

Hey, a bit of info about me since I just joined as a member:
I don't own a Focus (yet), but I have been pinching the pennies and doing some searching for a while now. I have my eye on a couple in the area and hopefully will have my new car in the next week or two.

I found this site when doing some research on the car and looking up tech info and getting ideas for future mods. This site has been THE most beneficial resource when looking for info before purchasing my Focus. I am a member of several forums and find them to be a great resource for certain topics and meet like minded people.

I think I have narrowed the search to a 2005 Focus with 77,000 miles for a good deal. I also am picking up a FSWERKS stealth exhaust from a guy tomorrow locally. Hopefully it won't be long before y'all can follow my build.

Purchased a Focus last week, I'm a noob!

Hello, all. I'm new because I just bought my first focus. Have been a SuperDuty guy for some time, but decided to buy a focus as a daily driver and save the truck for heavy hauling.
Bought a 2013 SE Sedan in White. I'm in process of adding fog lights (the dealer is being VERY cooperative since I bought it there) and I've put in a Pro-clip for my iPhone and a TomTom GPS.
Near Baton Rouge, LA. So far, 240 miles, test driving shows about 40.1 mpg at 55 (over a 30 mile span) and about 38 mpg at 65 mph. Will test out 70 mph this weekend driving to New Orleans. My point is, I am pleased with the economy so far, the major reason I bought the car! [cheers]
