Wait time for tranny work.

Hey all. I wanted my transmission looked at again since I am getting some shuttering again. I was originally told I had to leave my car for 4 days. I said no way, they suggested I wait for snow bird season to end. So I did. Today I made an appointment for the 14th. They did state its a 2 day diagnosis. That I can deal with. They also explained up front the 4 different ways the service can go. One of which would be replacing the clutch pack again with seals. They also explained they had customers waiting since March for the parts to come in. In that case they would give my car back to me and call me when the parts come in.

Is everyone waiting this long for parts? The first time I had the clutches replaced I left the car and it was a few days to get the parts. Granted I'm not waiting yet I was just wondering

The last time I spoke with my dealer (two months ago) there was a twelve week wait for parts. Others here have said something about nine weeks.
